Eddy Current Testing
Eddy Current Testing is a reliable method to inspect Non-ferromagnetic tubes, within condensers, feedwater heaters, air conditioners, chillers, and other heat exchangers. Eddy Current Testing is very accurate in the detection and sizing of metal discontinuities such as corrosion, erosion, tube to tube wear, pitting, fretting, & cracks, etc. Multi-frequency inspection with mixing & filtering capabilities increases the possibility of probable defect detection within ECT. The recorded data would be archived to our client to help them track the rate of corrosion for each tube for future reference.
Remote field Testing (RFT)
Remote Field Testing is a unique method for ferromagnetic tubes. The probe is passed on the inner surface of a tube to detect wall losses on both inner and external surface defects with great sensitivity. It can detect and size the wall thinning caused by corrosion, erosion, wear, pitting & baffle cuts. RFT is widely used to inspect boilers, feedwater heaters, air coolers, & CS heat exchangers. Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)
Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) is an electromagnetic inspection usually for conductive ferromagnetic material where corrosion/ material losses could be traced out by magnetic field leaks from the tube. The magnetic field formed between the probe and part is leaked out of the pipe wall, while the well-placed sensors would measure the leaked field with at all the 3-dimensional (Axial, Radial & circumferential) vectors & accuracy.
Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS)
IRIS is an ultrasonic emulsion Technique used for the inspection of a wide range of materials, including both non-ferromagnetic & ferromagnetic tubing. IRIS allows for the detection & sizing of wall loss as a result of corrosion, erosion, tube to tube wear, Pitting, Fretting, cracking & baffle cuts. Ultrasound is reflected from the Tube ID to OD and the time of travel is used to calculate the thickness. IRIS is a great verification technique for other tube inspection techniques as it presents with B, C, or D-scan data. IRIS is widely used in boilers, shell, and tubes of heat exchangers, Fin-Fan heat exchanger tubes.
